About Ken Reeves, Owner
Knowledge + Experience
Ken Reeves has been in the heating and cooling business for 30 plus years. He started his career in HVAC right out of high school and has owned his own company for over 5 years.
Ken spent many of his younger years on the mission fields of Mexico. When Ken was 12 years old his parents moved back to the beautiful state of Washington. Through his school years he enjoyed running track. His other loves are hunting, fishing, and hiking. After graduating high school, Ken decided to attend HVAC school in Arizona. He quickly realized that growing up in the mission field of Mexico he fell in love with being able to serve people and has been able to combine his passion for helping others and serving people with their HVAC needs is a great combination.

Life at Home
Ken has been happily married for 28+ years to his beautiful wife Melanie, who also helps at Better Built Heating and Cooling. Colorado has been their favorite place to live. They have lived in Parker, CO since July 2012, where they have raised their 3 kids. Daughter Baylee, now 23 his happily married and works in human resources. Son Dylan, 21 years old serving our country as a Marine! And son Levi, 18 just graduating high school, loves working with his dad and has hopes of running the company one day.
About Levi Reeves, Technician
Growing up playing sports taught Levi how to implement being not only a team player but also a team leader. Levi has been captain of his football team, and baseball team. He understands to be a leader you must be even a better student. Levi also had the privilege of having his dad be his coach. During these growing up years having played sports and his dad be his coach helped Levi and Ken build an incredible bond.
Coming to work for his dad at Better Built Heating and Cooling was very natural for Levi. Levi came to work for Better Built Heating and Cooling at the early age of 16. Levi is very coachable and now just 2 short years later he is lead technician. Levi is always educating himself so he can add value to customers. Levi strives to exceed clients’ expectations by ensuring each of our clients receives individualized service that is honest, friendly, and respectful.
Levi still enjoys playing sports, fishing, hunting, hiking, water sports, snowboarding and hanging with friends. He also enjoys going camping with his family and playing board games. Levi’s dream is to take over and run Better Built Heating and Cooling one day.
About Luke Taylor, Technician
Luke Taylor has been in the heating & cooling business and working for Better Built Heating and Cooling for a little over 2 months. In high school, he started out working with his dad building home theaters for a year and doing carpeting work for his uncle for 2 years.
About Melanie Reeves
Melanie grew up in Phoenix, AZ. Where she enjoyed swimming, playing softball, playing the piano, singing and being in musicals. In college she decided to major in music but soon realized this was not her passion in life. Her true passion was helping people! In 1997 Melanie and her husband purchased their first home. She quickly fell in love with doing home remodels and updates. Then in 2002 they decided to build their own home. In 2008 Melanie became a realtor and worked for a home builder in Woodland, WA. She really enjoyed this position. She helped people design their dream home inside and out.
In 2015 Melanie decided to help her husband start Better Built Heating and Cooling. Staying up with the real estate market, knowing what realtors and their clients need in an HVAC company, Melanie felt that she could be a great asset to Ken in building a phenomenal heating and cooling company. Ken and Melanie enjoy working side by side and building a legacy for their kids to own one day.
Melanie has superior knowledge of how to run a phenomenal HVAC company and real estate business. She says, superior knowledge and having meaningful relationships is the key in life and in business.
Melanie loves their family times together, hiking and camping in the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. She also enjoys all water sports and playing games.
